2026 Art Contest Now Open!

Does your child love to draw, paint, or create? In honor of Kheir Clinic’s 40th anniversary, we invite students across Los Angeles County to take part in our 2026 Student Art Contest! This year’s theme, Our Neighborhood, Our Health, encourages students to explore their community and the role health plays in everyday life.

Who can enter: K-12 students who live in Los Angeles County. Students do not need to be Kheir patients to participate.

Prizes: Three winners in each grade level (elementary, middle, and high school) will receive cash scholarships of $100 for first place, $75 for second place, and $50 for third place.

Deadline: Submit artwork by Monday, November 30, 2026.

Awards: Winners will be recognized at our Holiday Winter Festival on Saturday, December 5. Contest winners will be contacted before the festival.

This Year's Prompts

Each grade level has two prompt options. Students may choose either option for their artwork.

Option 1

Kheir Clinic is celebrating a big birthday this year! For 40 years, Kheir has been taking care of families in our neighborhood. Design the front of a birthday card for Kheir that shows a happy memory from a visit to the doctor.

Option 2

Draw your favorite place in your neighborhood. Show what you and your family do there to stay healthy and happy.

Option 1

Koreatown is home to people from many cultures. Show a food, tradition, or celebration from your culture that brings people together and keeps your community healthy.

Option 2

Imagine Koreatown 40 years from now. Invent a new place, tool, or idea that would keep people in our neighborhood healthy in the future.

Option 1

Design a poster for a health campaign aimed at teens in Koreatown. Choose one health issue you care about and create a message that would make your peers stop and pay attention.
