01 Feb Kheir Clinic Awarded HRSA’s 2023 Community Health Quality Recognition Badges

Kheir Clinic is honored to be recognized with Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)’s 2023 Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) Badges. The CHQR badges are awarded to Health Center Program awardees that have demonstrated notable achievements in the various areas of access, health equity, and health information technology.

Kheir was awarded six notable badges. Categories for which Kheir Clinic was recognized include:

Health Center Quality Leader (Silver) recognizes achievement of the best overall clinical quality measure performance among all health centers. Kheir was ranked in the top 11-20% of health centers nationally to receive this award.

Access Enhancer is awarded to health centers that have increased the total number of patients served and the number of patients who receive at least one comprehensive service (mental health, substance abuse, vision, dental. and/or enabling) by at least 5% during consecutive reporting periods.

Health Disparities Reducer recognizes health centers that demonstrate a significant improvement in low birth weight, hypertension control, and/or uncontrolled diabetes clinical quality measures (CQMs).

Addressing Social Risk Factors recognizes health centers that are addressing social risk factors impacting patients’ health, and increasing access to enabling services.

Advancing HIT For Quality is awarded to health centers that meet all criteria to optimize HIT services, which include offering telehealth services, engaging patients through health technology systems, and collecting patient social risk factor data.

Patient-Centered Medical home (PCMH) acknowledges health facilities that have earned the PCMH certification at one or more locations. This certification represents the highest national accreditation standard for primary care.

This recognition underscores Kheir Clinic’s dedication to fostering a healthier community by addressing health disparities and ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare services.
