17 Dec Kheir Clinic Hosts Annual Community Holiday Party & Toy Giveaway
On December 17, 2021, Kheir Clinic welcomed more than 250 attendees at our annual Community Holiday Party & Toy Giveaway benefitting pediatric patients. Thanks to the support of our generous event sponsors, Assemblymember Santiago, Anthem, APA Community Holiday Toy Drive, Baby2Baby, and Bank of America, we distributed toys, masks, hand sanitizers, and other goodies for the holidays. Santa was also in attendance, posing for socially-distant photos with kids and their families.
This year, Kheir Clinic added the most important stocking-stuffer to the event: COVID-19 vaccines! After picking up toys, families in need of a COVID-19 vaccine or booster dose were vaccinated onsite. By the end of the event, more than 60 attendees had taken advantage of the opportunity to get fully vaccinated or boosted before the holidays.
Our Community Holiday Party & Toy Giveaway would not be possible without our dedicated staff and volunteers, who were busy decorating, greeting families, distributing toys, and sharing joy. Kheir’s State Assemblymember Miguel Santiago attended to hand out toys, greet constituents and grab a photo with Santa. Volunteers from Bank of America’s Asian Leadership Network not only volunteered and donated toys, but also encouraged patients to get vaccinated and personally walked each family next door to the clinic to get their shots!
With heartfelt gratitude, thank you to our entire community of Kheir supporters for creating a special holiday memory for our patients, and for supporting low-income immigrant communities year-round.
