09 Sep Bringing Vaccines to the Heart of Los Angeles

Thursday, September 9, 2021— Kheir Clinic recently hosted a series of COVID-19 vaccination events with Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA), a nonprofit organization that empowers underserved youth through free after-school programs focusing on academics, arts, and athletics.

Both Kheir Clinic and HOLA recognized the need for parents to connect with healthcare professionals who speak their language. “It’s important for us to work with community partners like Heart of Los Angeles who have built a trusting relationship with students and their parents,” said Eric O. from Kheir Clinic’s Patient Resources Department. “We were onsite at HOLA with our multilingual team answering questions in Korean, Spanish, and English. It’s great that we’re able to bring vaccines into our community and make it more convenient for parents and students who may still be hesitant.”
