03 Sep Kheir’s Drive-thru “Back to School Backpack Giveaway”

Kheir hosted our annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway yesterday– but in a new way! Like most things in 2020, we adjusted our plan to ensure safety and COVID-19 prevention. The event was Drive-Thru / Grab-and-Go, and we distributed more than 160 backpacks and Kheir goody bags filled with school supplies, masks, sanitizers, toys, community resource information, and more!
Big thank you to Health Net, Koreatown Youth and Community Center (KYCC), PHFE WIC Program and Anderson Munger Family YMCA for donating items for our kids! It was fun to see our pediatric patients, even if it was just for a minute and at a distance!
